SOCAP Heartland Chapter recognized for two awards at the 2011 SOCAP Annual Conference.


The Chapter Award in Recognition of Excellence (CARE) award was given to 6 chapters, including our very own Heartland Chapter! The chapter had to earn at least 42 points in the following areas in order to earn the CARE award:

  • Meetings and Events
  • Member Engagement / Board
  • Membership
  • Communication
  • Administration and Financial
The SOCAP STAR Awards are given to hardworking, dependable and dedicated individuals who support their local SOCAP chapter. One of our Heartland Chapter Board members was recognized this year!

Sara Diaz, Account Development Manager at Avcomm Solutions, Inc. and SOCAP Heartland Board Technology officer was recognized. President Cindy Fritton writes, "In 2011, Sara served as the chapter’s Technology Officer. As a new position, Sara has been a driving force behind the development of this position and ensures that the chapter is using all available technology to stay in communication with its members. She continues to keep the Heartland website and the LinkedIn and Facebook accounts current and advises the board on updates that should be posted. Sara remains active in the board meeting and constantly provides assistance with event planning. Sara always lends a hand where needed even it if goes beyond her title. She has truly proven to be the STAR that shines within the Heartland Chapter!"
